This is Empowerment!- Tasha Earns a Culinary Arts Certificate

Tasha has been an important member of the GUM family since she came to our first event 10 years ago. Her children have grown up in our programs. She graduated from Getting Ahead, volunteered at our Christmas Toy Store and was a GUM staffer until she decided to enroll in college last year.

Now, we are proud to share that Tasha has earned a Certificate in Culinary Arts from Galveston College! She's working towards her Associates Degree and running her own business, Tasha's Tasty Treats. Her ultimate goal is to own a bakery in Galveston...and, we just know she'll reach that brass ring!
