Jasma's Story

They have helped in so many ways. I have cried, laughed, had ups and downs, but I knew I wasn't by myself. They have helped with just free time, lawyers, different classes for mental health, finances. They have been a listening ear. Mentored my kids, loved my kids. I actually had my I best friend here. Even though she moved away I still love her like a sister. I gained a family when I felt like I didn't have anybody, when I felt like I was alone they were always there to help me see my light. I knew that not only my kids were loved but I was loved as well. They will continue to do great things not only in my life but in the community. For that I don't know how many times I can say thank you. The best part for me is the pictures of watching my family grow.

Jasma and her four daughters have been a part of the GUM program for over five years. In addition to being an amazing mom Jasma is a Getting Ahead Graduate.
