Low-income families can receive a voucher to purchase a backpack and a complete school supply list for their student for just $8.00 at the Galveston Urban Ministries School Supply Store. Supply lists are based on each student’s actual school requirements. This approach reflects Galveston Urban Ministries’ philosophy that offering discounted, not free—items allows parents to participate in providing for their families while shopping with dignity. Proceeds from the store go directly toward restocking supplies, ensuring continued support for local families.
