At Galveston Urban Ministries (GUM), we’re committed to walking alongside adults in Galveston with compassion and purpose. Our adult ministry focuses on job placement support, helping individuals prepare competitive resumes, build interview skills, and connect with workforce opportunities that lead to meaningful employment and financial stability. GUM also offers financial literacy classes designed to equip participants with budgeting strategies, money-management skills, and the confidence to make informed financial decisions.
Rooted in faith, our community provides Bible studies and spiritual support that foster personal growth, resilience, and deeper connections. We believe in offering a “hand-up, not a hand-out,” by helping neighbors make appointments, secure vital documents they need, and access services that strengthen their lives.
